El Tajin

As is often the case with ruins in tropical climes, the plants can be as interesting as the piles of rocks.

Papantla is the nearest town to El Tajin Ruins, an ancient center of Veracruz culture. These particular ruins are famous for pyramids with niches. Its unknown what they were for.
