The next day we got lost on rough roads going between Tampico and Papantla. We were on the right raod, but uncertain of ourselves, we asked a road repairman for a confirmation. He steered us wrong. Some Mexicans admit to not knowing the location of some place, but not many. The trick is to know who does know, since all respond to questions with authority.
