Hotel Tridad Galleria's Lobby. Some of the backpacker hotels are as interesting as any of the ruins or museums.

Many of the turn-of-the-century (from the 19th to the 20th) facades are only that. Often there is a parking lot or a dump behind.

When they finishing painting this, we'll go and have an expresso.

Looking from our doorway toward the laundry patio. Oh, that we had a real washing maching, but we have a bucket, a toilet plunger, a concrete sink with scrubbing surface and the wash lines that I crawl under to get to my office. There is a new tenet downstairs (not in the new apartment, which isn't finished yet) who has a wife and two little children. The wash lines always have dripping clothes on them. We take ours to be done at a laundry service about three blocks away.
