Mostly Churches: Mama and Ticul

We manged to avoid hitting with our car all the joggers and bicyclists and visited Ticul, Mama, and Tekit.

Some plazas have tasteless additions, presumably made in the tasteless 60s.


The hand is directly in front of the church below, which is in Ticul, a town quite close to Uxmal.




I'm not sure why the lady on the right is advertising a shoe store.



Given time, everything will sprout and attempt to return to jungle.



The church at Mama. Yes, that is the name of the town. I don't know if it means anything in the Mayan language other than what it means in English and Spanish.
